Why bother with self-care in the first place? You hardly have enough time for your thoughts let alone taking care of your whole self. What does self-care really mean?
I’ve been there. That’s why, in this blog post I wanted to do a round up of six blogs I’ve written over the last year which have given me tons of encouragement to make self-care a priority.
So let’s jump into it:
Blog 1 – What’s the difference between self-care and self-love? And why it matters
The first blog focuses on understanding the difference between self-care and self-love. Both are words that we hear or read about online. However in practice, what the heck is the difference and why does it matter?
Read this blog first to set your foundation.
Blog 2 – How to make self-care a priority as a new parent
This second blog is a zoom out on why it’s important to make it a priority in the first place as a parent. Then, a zoom-in on how you can do that.
Read this to get some initial tips on how to start.
Blog 3 – 13 easy self-care tips for the busy mama
This third blog is about getting more ideas into your toolbox for when you need them most. It’s so easy to get caught up with the day-to-day and to thereby lose focus.
Read this blog to add more ideas on what you can do.
Blog 4 – How to look after yourself when you’re stressed the bleep out
This fourth blog looks at stress. Alleviate your stress, you’re doing the best piece of self-care for yourself but how do you do that? I share tips on how to manage stress and by doing so keep your self-care top of your list.

Blog 5 – 6 things I would love to stop doing as a mum, and you should too
In this fifth blog post I wanted to share some reflections on my motherhood journey. I’m a newbie, and yet, I felt like if my reflections could help new entrants into this world or even existing then I’d be truly happy. Call this a bit of self-therapy in a post. I share the things I would love to stop doing.
Read this blog for my honest reflections to help you too.
Blog 6 – How to create the most incredible self care evening
In this final blog I share one tangible outcome of bringing it all together in a date with none other than YOU. How do you create a moment of self-care? In this example, a self-care evening? But you could make it a self-care morning/ self-care Sunday/self-care hour/or even a self-care moment. However you wish to describe it, the principle remains. Use this as a template and have fun!

Moments of self-care lead to feeling more like you again
Taking time out for you may feel selfish. It may feel impossible. However the more you do it, the more you realise it’s better for everyone around you especially YOU.
So don’t let being busy get in your way. You’re important.
