What you say to yourself every day is what you gradually begin to believe about yourself. It is all in the mind; the confidence we may or may not possess, the unwavering or lack of belief we have in the possibilities for our future, the awareness or not of who we really are.
A manifestation journal may sound to some a bit ‘wishy-washy’ or a waste of time and energy. It may feel a bit ‘out there’ but the principle is pretty simple:
To manifest is to think something into fruition. In other words, it’s to believe that something can and will happen because our mind is a complex and beautiful thing. Once it has been posed with a challenge, it can then start to think about solutions.
I was thrilled to interview ‘That girl who blogs’ about her creative journey, and the manifestation journal she has designed to help women achieve their dreams.
I hope this inspires you and marks the start of your very own manifestation journey.
1. Who is That Girl Who Blogs?
It all started when I came across the social media trend of ‘that girl’. This is typically girls who are living their best life. I wanted to however look at that girl from another perspective. What about the girl who cries? the girl who doesn’t have it all together? who sleeps in all morning and doesn’t just wake up out of bed like that?
In a journal, I would write:
‘Today I am that girl who…’
Each time I’d fill in the blank. It helped me to connect with who I am. It was my way of reflecting and provided me an opportunity to explore my emotions.
I was able to start to manifest what I wanted for my life and ‘That girl who Blogs’ was born with a mission to help women become their best selves.
2. Why did you decide to design the journal?

Honestly, I decided to design the journal after coming across them all the time on Etsy or even in store at say a TK Maxx. I stopped and said to myself ‘I can do that’ so I went home and started to research it.
That’s how I came across Kindle Direct Publishing. It’s an effective and easy way to get started. I love doing different creative projects, and for me, that’s what this is. It is my way of expressing myself creatively.
I’ve always been into illustrations, and had already created a series of them. The journal was one way to showcase my designs.
I set to work on designing my first journal. Once designed and put together via Canva, I simply uploaded and then purchased my first one from Amazon. I can’t describe how amazing it felt to be delivered my very own handy work in the post.

3. Why did you choose to create a manifestation journal?
The manifestation journal goes hand in hand with the journalling journey. There is a strong link between this and self-care. It’s all about reflecting on how you think and talk to yourself.
It helps to write down positive affirmations, and can be the start of a spiritual journey to becoming the better version of you once you truly believe that you can do it.
4. What products are available?
Right now I have a series of blank lined journals with my own illustrations, and I have the manifestation journal which includes the 3, 6, 9 method (3 affirmations for the morning, 6 affirmations for the afternoon, and 9 affirmations for the evening).
You’ll find the illustrations are a reflection of myself in actual fact. I enjoyed designing scenarios of me enjoying the sunshine, pondering life with a cuppa in hand, or even meditating. They also represent the idea of self- care which I believe is important.

These journals aren’t to fill a gap in the market. They are simply an expression and proof that you can do anything – really. I saw a journal, I wanted to create my own and I did it. Now it’s your turn!
5. What tips would you give someone starting out on their self awareness journey?
I’m still on this so I’m not sure what I would say, however there are a number of books that have helped me on my way. I recently read ‘The Artist’s Way’. She recommends doing morning pages which is where you grab a pen and free flow write three pages every single morning. This is to help empty your brain, to get over the anxiety of writing or writer’s block. You just let it all go. You don’t look back. You don’t worry about spelling. You just write and let go.
Another book I’m currently reading is ‘Why didn’t anyone tell me this before’. It is like stepping into a therapist’s room. In fact it made me want to go and get therapy. It’s written by a therapist and makes you definitely stop and think.
Finally, there’s yoga and meditation. If you’d have asked me about this a year ago, I would have been like that’s not for me. However, I started very small. I would do 5 minutes, and gradually build up and now I love it. I get why there are so many advocates of it, because it’s a moment to truly connect with your body and mind.
6. What more can we expect from you in the future?
I hope to increase the products that I have by designing more journals using other illustrations I have. I’m also looking at updating the content inside the books by expanding to daily and monthly planners.
7. Would you be interested in collaborating with myself at Good Esprit to create a journal for busy working mums?
Absolutely, of course I would!
8. Finally, where can people find you?
You can find my journals on Amazon:
